Disclaimer: I am not a poutine expert. I had "small" seafood poutine. And it was good, it was exceptional, but it wasn't bad, or even decent. It was well cooked and pretty delicious and I liked it.For some people prices may seem a little bit high, but they are really not, because i ordered, as menu stated, "small" poutine and i couldn't even finish it, but I'm 6.5ft (190cm) teenager with fine metabolism. My point is, portions are big. 1 plate will be enough to fill you.The place is small, thus always crowded, so if you are with a big company, you might not find space for all of you. (Idk if reservation is an option, I just dropped by). They don't have a menu on english, but a waitress can help you translate.

The food here is incredible, the service is wonderful, the owner,Adel, prepared each item with so much love....there is so much food on your plate...its a great deal!

I can’t say I was fully disappointed. As clearly shown the hotdogs look like plastic, not too much taste or flavour. The onion rings and poutine on the other hand were still good. The service was nice as well and friendly. With indoor and outdoor seating. Though it may seem like a hole in the wall vibe, you can trust this place to get some decent food at a decent price.

The all dressed poutine is delicious and photographs beautifully with the yellow peppers and green peas. Staff is nice and helpful.

I hate to bash and don’t want to but I have to give an honest review and opinion. I sincerely wonder what all the hype is about or where it actually comes from.. but it got me expecting the best poutine joint and is honestly far from it! Keep in mind I was sober, this place is open 24 hours, I’m suspecting the hype is from drunk people who have nowhere else to go because everything else is closed and would actually eat anything at this point. The price isn’t cheaper, the taste isn’t better nor exceptional than anywhere else. What more can I say... Oh yes!! Ditch the disposable plastic cups that is served to every client!

Chez Claudette is a Plateau institution. It's always one of my top recommendations for tourists who want to have a great Montreal poutine, but it's also just a great neighborhood spot for breakfast, lunch, or late night. The food is very good and it's inexpensive, which is becoming increasingly rare in the surrounding area.

I'm not a big fan of the poutine here, while I liked the vegetarian sauce, I found the fries to be too mushy and the amount of cheese insufficient. The desserts are pretty disappointing as well. I do, however, LOVE the veggie steamies, oh my god! So it's a toss up between 3 and 4 stars for me.

Nice and cheap. Poutine is growing on me :) and vegetarian burger was amazing. Sauces, relish, mushrooms - just the way I like it. Trio with a drink was around 13$ - cheap as chips! Cafe has seats for parties and also for one/two people. We'll be back :)

This is as real as a greasy dinner gets. Staff is super friendly. Food is good. They open 24hrs on the weekend, so it’s the perfect spot to go after a night out. The menu is quite big, you’ll definitely find something to satisfy your appetite. Also, service is pretty fast. This is a must if you’re around the neighbourhood.

Poutine is good... the toppings fresh.Hamburger is good, but fell apart because too much condiments made the bun to soggy.

A fantastic place for Poutine! During the summer their terrasse is open and it’s quite nice to sit out there to enjoy your poutine and a drink. There are a lot of poutine choices so it’s a little bit intimidating, and they even have other choices apart from poutine as well. Decently priced, great waiters and tasty poutine. Also, they take card!

A great little spot for a steamy. Traveling from Vancouver I felt welcomed and food was good. I have had food from many places that was ok the show you got eat here. This place was the only place where I was like why. It was good. Not great. Want a good cheap meal. Then go here. It's still really good food.

A classic Montreal greasy-spoon, step back into time in what is an unpretentious, friendly, inexpensive local must. The chef will make you feel right at home and is always generous on portions. You want to experience a traditional poutine, this is it (to the contrary of La Banquise). Lasagna, burgers, pogos (corn-dogs) - you name it, they have it. What more, all-day breakfast, and open 24h over the weekend. Happy food coma !

Came here after watching Alex Delany from Bon Appetit rate this as his number 1 place for classic poutine, and I cannot have poutine from Toronto ever again. Literally everything was great, the fries were wonderful, gravy was delicious, and the squeaky cheese was so soft and delicious. We had the Celine poutine too but I'd still pick the classic if I had to have one every day. Servers were great too and always made sure our cups were always topped up!

Poutine gravy had an overly peppery taste - not great poutine despite all the hype.

The food was satisfactory and the staff very nice but all of us were truly shocked by the use of disposable plastic glasses in the restaurant. In a time when the planet is dying and the plastic problem well known, it is not acceptable. Mentalities are changing fast here, so you'd better change too if you want to keep your clientele.

this is one of my favorite places in town its affordable and i been going seens i was small and its just a great family dinner

Never disappoints. 24 hour place so that’s great either for breakfast or late nite snack. Although there were uncooked peppers on a friends poutine once. Still good tho.

Diner with an old school vibe. Simple and clean. Enjoyed breakfast here, server started us with coffees without hesitation.

This resto is open almost around the clock. I have only eaten breakfast here, it's a good price and passes the satisfied test. My friend has allergies and they seemed quite confident of what would be safe for her to eat with out cross contamination.

Good service, good food, but nothing out of this world. Came here because it was the top pick of Bon Appetit's YouTube video. Was expecting a mind blowing poutine, but it was a good poutine, not incredibly amazing. Service was pretty good. Menu has a looot of options so there's going to be something for everyone.

I should probably give a lower rating because all I wanted was 2 hotdogs, BOTH with ketchup mustard and onions, pretty simple order, I thought. But the guy made 4 hotdogs and on top of that he made 2 with only ketchup and 2 with mustard and onions. It’s really annoying, because it also took so long to get my food when both the sausage and bread are already cooked and ready to go

Classic dinner experience. Got the large poutine. It was delicious! Great cheese, lots of sauce and tasty fries! Their steamies are always a classic if ever. I recommend it!!

Best restaurant for a late-night craving. Everything from poutines to hot dogs to sandwiches. I personally usually order their club sandwich with a side of onion rings that I dip in honey. Much better than any fast food chain open late at night!

Good placd for Greasy Spoon food. Had the poutine with hot dogs, their portions are large (even for regular size).

Very cute place. The poutine is awesome! The potatoes are Crisp... It has a sweetness to it... And a kick... With thick gravy and lots of cheese curds! Great service.

A very pleasant experience. Went for an evening dinner with some friends to try the poutine. The poutine was quite delicious. I had ordered the smoked meat poutine. The chips were crispy and not over cooked, the gravy was well balanced in flavour and not overpowering the dish. The smoked meat was of a very decent quality as well. Having tried a fair few poutine places in Montreal like poutine ville, la banquise, Etc., I find this place to be very satisfying. Would certainly go again and also recommend it to anyone looking to try the poutine.

Order the small poutine, it is already huge & solide. Wine was meh and dessert just OK so focus on beer + poutine.

Great traditional spot. Food is cooked the way your grandma would. Not fancy but so tasteful! Waitresses are great as well and even when it’s super busy, they greet you with a smile. I’m definitely going back soon.

Late night food all star. 24hr food option. There is nothing bad in the menu just amazing food and amazing people. Awesome place to pickup late night food or just grab food anytime of the day! It is a Montreal staple!
